Control/Shame
a poem
“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself” by Carl Jung (Memories, Dreams, Reflections, Page 327)
Twisting sideways at night all the hopes and dreams start collapsing crushing your chest You can't breathe Sit up and cover your heart with your hand let it wash over you But this silence is still closing your throat. You control the narrative of how you are perceived because shame is a barbwire keeping you in your place as the gap between yourself and others continues to expand have faith or save your breath.
